Dr. Carolyn Young, RScP

Carolyn Young, RDH, PhD, RScP, and hypnotherapist, is a seeker of truth, is passionate about empowering others to know the truth of who they are, and has lived (and continues to live) her life following Spirit’s guidance and being of service to others.

Carolyn's desires and passions guided her to metaphysics and "hard core" science in her teen years and her exploration in these areas continues today. She has a broad background in Mind-body connections, hypnotherapy, Spiritual truths, and metaphysics and has studied with Terry Cole-Whittaker, Louise Hay, and many others. She was introduced to Religious Science in the late 1970s and became a practitioner in 2000. She earned her first degree in Dental Hygiene, is licensed in both California and Virginia, and worked with patients for 25 years. This provided an excellent atmosphere in which to practice hands-on healing and unconditional love while providing excellent clinical skills and educating patients about dental health and affirming their inherent well-being.

Her love of knowledge, science, and service coupled with meditation and listening to Spirit, guided her to take many classes on various subjects at local colleges, to study hypnotherapy, and then focus her attention on a degree in biology and chemistry. She continued her education, obtaining a PhD in Toxicology in 1993 and worked for the FDA in Food Safety for 14 years before retiring in the fall of 2007.

Listening to Spirit, doing inner work, and saying affirmations guided Carolyn to her wonderful partner and husband. They have been together for 17 years. Carolyn has a private practice helping people using Spiritual counseling, hypnotherapy, and prayer. She enjoys meditation, and practices Yoga and Qi Gong. Carolyn also enjoys a variety of creative and recreational activities and has been blessed to have vacationed and traveled with a number of individuals in her Spiritual family.

Carolyn is also the founder and director for the "The Community for Spiritual Discovery and Affirmative Living" which meets on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month in Northern Virginia. She can be contacted via e-mail.
