Rev Sonja Contois

Focused on service and the personal integration of Science of Mind principles, in September 2010, Reverend Sonja brings the intriguing format of The Wisdom Center to Haywood County, North Carolina. She has continued her long-time partnership with Reverend Hilary Taylor through Evensong West and teaches and speaks nationally.

Reverends Sonja Contois and Marcia MacLean co-founded The Wisdom Center, a Science of Mind Spiritual Community, in April 2002 in Black Mountain, North Carolina.

A second venue, Ev'nSong - a candle-lit Wednesday-night service - was added in Hendersonville in 2003.

In 2005, Reverend Sonja turned toward teaching and writing. She led a second ordination class and added other layers of discussion groups, Basic classes, and Practitioner training in Mooresville, North Carolina. She has published a slew of short stories and has three-and-a-half novels in the works.

Prior to ordination in 2001, Sonja was a somatic psychotherapist practicing Rubenfeld Synergy in Asheville, North Carolina.
